Well, I am finally here in Phoenix, but my luggage is not. Getting through BOS and Chicago O’Hare really roughed me up. I spent all day yesterday experiencing delays, but not the “oh good I can get some work done” kind — more like the “why haven’t they posted the notice that I am at the correct gate?” kind. So much for catching up with email.

Here’s what I learned:

• Traveling through major airports on a Saturday = bad news and droves of people.
• Traveling through Chicago on a Saturday in winter = good luck with that one!
• Wolfgang Puck sit-down restaurants in airports still have plastic silverware… and are overpriced but delicious.
• ORD has weird sliding clear plastic toilet seat covers you’re supposed to change before you sit down.
• While you can’t get any computer-related work done when you’re sitting on the runway, cell phone brickball is awesome.
• My blackberry pearl (T-Mobile) does not auto-update for the time zones. Am I missing something?
• Pack (at the minimum) your toothbrush and some undies in your carry-on. Seriously.
