Rachel’s work has now appeared in The Oregonian

Thursday, February 24th, 2011

My favorite personal work is photographing entrepreneurs and artists. I am inspired and fired up with the enthusiasm, courage, and spunk I see in women business owners across the country. I’ll be photographing some local Portland writers and artists in upcoming months, and can not wait to share!

The Oregonian

In the meantime, I am quite proud to share the news that a little picture of mine appeared in today’s copy of The Oregonian newspaper in an article written by Bridget Otto. I was excited when Trisha Guido asked me to do a quick headshot for her in her store, Relish… now that the image has been used publicly I am even more happy for her – and thankful I can now say my work has appeared in The Oregonian! :) Thank you for sharing the experience, Trisha.

bright and cheerful girl

Her mom and dad bought the file for this image, and I hope they print it HUGE and put it up in the office. This is the kind of smile that would brighten up the most gloomy of days!

Rhode Island portrait session

Rhode Island portrait session

These two just bought an old Victorian house on the coast of Rhode Island and have been fixing it up together. They love books, and laugh together constantly. Theirs is a true and wonderful relationship and I am so proud to have been commissioned to photograph Maria and Brendon when I was on the east coast last month.

Daniel Nagaj, Slovakian Genius

Daniel Nagaj
I know Daniel from MIT. He is a genius. He brought a physicist’s brain to our small Boston photography group, and the awkward-yet-awesome directness of an engineer. I am really glad I got to know Daniel Nagaj when he lived in Cambridge, MA.
