Here’s the latest batch of cuties from our mini sessions!

We’ve been having such a good time doing these mini-sessions! Check out some recent families:

It’s always fun to have another photographer as a client. Kim has taken to hiring me for a family portrait around the holidays, after her first attempts at DIY family portraits did not produce the desired results. They had me do a full session on a weekday evening, and then took me out to dinner afterwards. Keep it classy, Kim and family!

I love the first image of little R chilling in the grass. The moment seems so zen.
The site Kim chose was a great place for photos – Rock Meadow Conservation Area in Belmont, MA.

There’s a reason I love to be around and photograph kids. They’re unbridled. Someone asked me yesterday about my favorite fall memory so far for 2009, and this moment from the October 12 mini-session came to mind. I was showing the girls how I wanted them to lay in the leaves for a photo, and then they spontaneously DOGPILED me. It was hilarious. (Many thanks to my assistant Amanda for taking my camera and grabbing a few frames of the action.)
Rachel will be doing outdoor family portraits until November 8. The New England fall foliage will soon be at its peak; take advantage of this beautiful scenery and get your family portraits done outside in natural light. Since our mini-sessions are outdoors, they are great for children of all ages.

Portraits aren’t limited to families! Colin, a NY-based engineer, used his session for headshots and they turned out great.

There are slots still available for our mini sessions on November 7 and 8. Sign up for your session now to take advantage of this great deal. Click here for more information.

Am I the only one who finds it inappropriate that Cinderella is doing the “Paris Hilton” over the shoulder glance? Should I be taking notes for my boudoir work from Disney princesses now? I am disturbed, but only mildly surprised at the way these princesses have been tarted up with strangely alluring posing (butterflies or not) for this young girl’s birthday party decor. [shudder]
My girl Sufi had her 3rd birthday this weekend. I had to laugh as I was importing my photos and saw this bed head photo from Sunday morning with the biggest Persian afro I have ever seen…

Ice cream with an almost-3-year-old at Toscanini’s in Cambridge.

Lisa decided to purchase the collection of images from her photo session last year, so I am going back through and prepping the files for her. What a lovely set of images we got, and what a demonstration of fierce maternal love!

Tina and Joe were one of my first wedding clients. Now they have twins! Happy Fathers Day, Joe.
