I am going through some film photos from 2009 and came across a few frames from the tall ships festival in Boston. The black and white image was from 120 film through a Holga camera. The color images are 135 film in a lomo fisheye toy camera.

I love the lady in orange posing for her photo with all the other people in the shot.

The Rizi Family asked me to make some formal family portraits of them together before their youngest son Bijan headed out to college. Both Anita and Suzy were married this year, a few months apart, so it was the perfect opportunity to document them all together one last time before all of the kids head off in different directions. The family home in Palos Verdes, California made a fantastic backdrop.

We’ve been working hard to get through all the holiday projects for clients, and I have to say it’s been kind of fun to see which images everyone chooses for their holiday cards.

Check out the look on this one’s face. I call it “wonder.”

We decided to leave the store open until NOON today (EST) in response to some of our favorite people procrastinating until the last minute, and a grandmum overseas who had some trouble placing an order last night.

Hi everyone! A quick reminder that we’re accepting print orders through Sunday at 11:59pm for those of you who currently have a portrait gallery open in our client area.
As a special thanksgiving treat, for the next two days only, you and everyone you know can save $20 on a print order of $50 or more.
[ link to mergeweddings client area ]
I’ve created a coupon code that you use upon checkout: goodbyeboston. The box to enter the code will be the final screen as you pay for the order.
Terms and conditions for this promotion:
minimum order (for coupon use) is $50
coupon code is good for purchases completed on two days only: November 27-28, 2009
previously-expired galleries will only be open through this weekend
if your gallery is new and still has an “early order discount” this will override the coupon code.
code may not be used in conjunction with other coupon codes or print credits

We’ve been having such a good time doing these mini-sessions! Check out some recent families:

It’s always fun to have another photographer as a client. Kim has taken to hiring me for a family portrait around the holidays, after her first attempts at DIY family portraits did not produce the desired results. They had me do a full session on a weekday evening, and then took me out to dinner afterwards. Keep it classy, Kim and family!

I love the first image of little R chilling in the grass. The moment seems so zen.
The site Kim chose was a great place for photos – Rock Meadow Conservation Area in Belmont, MA.

Greetings, photography fans!
Please allow me to introduce myself. I’m Carol, and I will be serving as Rachel’s assistant for the holiday season. I’m a native to Lowell, Massachusetts, a Bentley alum, and a freelance publicist.
When not chasing after my 10-month old son, Jeremy or buried inside a book, I can be found at operas, ballets, concerts, and art galleries supporting the local arts & culture scene in Boston.
